Series Still #1 For Me !!!!!

Seriously, Book 10 and I am just as excited to get back into The Project world after reading the first book in this series. Alex Lukeman has still whetted my appetite for this fast paced political intrigue series, with a group attached to the White House as the ‘hear no see no’ for the American President Rice. The counter terrorist group is neatly run by Elizabeth Harker.

She had brought together a team consisting of Nick Carter, Selena O’Connor, Ronnie Peete, and of course her right hand computer hacker extraordinaire Stephanie Willets. One of our gang Lamont ‘the shadow’ Cameron has retired to Florida to run a surf shop and Harker has brought in a new guy to be tested. He is 27 year old Diego Ramirez, 75th Rangers SOCOM, to see if he fits.

Before they get a fix on each other, the call comes for them to saddle up. There is a scroll that interestingly enough Selena can again help with her background in old languages and the team is set up for following clues and beating a madman to find King Solomon’s final resting place.

Again my hands sweat as we travel with our team following the clues, surrounded by the danger of what could happen…..…..what if the bad guy get there first……..and we cannot let them win threats that this author makes us feel. We are reeling from the attack on our team. Our team is lead from Beirut to Saudi Arabia and finally the canyons of Ethiopia, searching for an ancient place wanted by many Middle Eastern Countries and the sacred to the history of Israel.

Alex Lukeman takes us again on a trip that he can only bring his readers in his wonderful voice of storytelling. I loved it, loved the surprises and cried for the losses….A must read.

The Latest Project

Nick, Selena and company are back for another fast paced, action packed, well written adventure facing off with a madman. I really like this series because of the great cast of characters we've gotten to know really well after ten books and what is in store for them next. The writing and action is top notch and leaves one waiting for the next book.

Alex has done it again. He has cut into my sleep time. I just want to stay up and keep reading. While not his best ( The Tesla Secret is my favorite) he has earned a place with Brad Thor, the late Vince Flynn, Daniel Silva, Ben Coes and Steve Berry in my list of authors I stop everything and read their latest books. Alex's Project books have always been fast paced and entertaining page turners. His characters are always well developed whether the good guys or bad. As I have said before, keep up the good work Alex and I look forward to the next installment in the Project series.

Alton Gansky is the author of 43 books, fiction and nonfiction. He has an eclectic background having worked in such fields as accounting, advertising, firefighting, and architecture. Before turning to writing, he pastored three churches over a period of 22 years.

It's what's in The Fog that makes this episode compelling reading

This episode starts differently to the others. It's like those detective TV shows which start a few hours in the future, creating immediate suspense and then go back in time to show us how we got to this point. I like it. Gansky has us on the edge of our seats as Tank, whose eyes this episode is written from, is in extreme danger.

I really like Tank. He's a big strong ex-footballer (some would call him a jock) but he has a heart of gold. He's tenderhearted and kind plus he has such humility which once again is demonstrated in this episode. I particularly love Tank's perspective on his gift of healing.

Our gang of four is once again caught up in trouble, chasing down a lead in attempting to identify the source of their nemesis, The Gate. The danger isn't the fog but what resides in it - terrifying creatures that love the taste of humans.

This episode moves along at great pace and is especially hard to put down knowing what lies ahead for Tank. As a result most of it is about Tank and Gansky does an excellent job revealing more of his goodness.

Now to Leviathan in November. Can't wait.

About the Author
Born in Kasauli in 1934, Ruskin Bond grew up in Jamnagar, Dehradun, New Delhi and Shimla. His first novel, The Room on the Roof, written when he was seventeen, received the John Llewellyn Rhys Memorial Prize in 1957. Since then he has written over five hundred short stories, essays and novellas (some included in the collections Dust on the Mountains and Classic Ruskin Bond) and more than forty books for children.

He received the Sahitya Akademi Award for English writing in India in 1993, the Padma Shri in 1999, and the Delhi government s Lifetime Achievement Award in 2012. He was awarded the Sahitya Akademi s Bal Sahitya Puraskar for his total contribution to children s literature in 2013 and was honoured with the Padma Bhushan in 2014. He lives in Landour, Mussoorie, with his extended family.
