An instant Classic, Superb

Once in a while a scientific book comes along that sets the bar high for anyone to follow, an instant classic. "Epigenetics" is superbly organized into 36 chapters, most with a summary, overview and conclusions. This well organized 984 page second edition is what scientific books should be...easy to read for anyone. Each chapter is broken down into sections with the title of each section expressing an idea or concept. I have not read any books by CSH press before, but I surely will look for them in the future. Needless to say that this book is by far the most advanced resource on this subject today.

The Most Accurate Book On The Topic of Bible Prophecy, From an Author Who Understands the Islamic Agenda

I have attended Michael's Church of The Apostles in Atlanta, GA. I can tell you that Michael knows this subject like few others in the USA. He was born and raised in Egypt, lived under the spectre of Christian persecution and eventually emigrated to the US. He knows first hand what is going on in the middle east, and is one of the most accurate authorities on the subject of the Mahdi and how Islamic teachings happen to coincide with bible prophecy. I've read hundreds of books on this topic over the last 30 years, most of which have since been proven to be incorrect in their predictions or nothing more than an attempt to support one particular church denomination's interpretation of scripture. (for example, many denominations believe in a "pre-tribulation rapture" of the church, so their books are written to assume such events. In effect they begin with an agenda). Michael on the other hand has written a book that is agenda free, and he lays out the facts about Islam and how the radicals are working towards an end-times appearance of the Mahdi. Its a very easy read, full of accurate information that seeks to inform you on the subject, without insisting that you use one specific denominational interpretation.
In my opinion, this is the most accurate book ever written on this subject, and the reader will find this book very helpful to understanding why Islam is so hell-bent on conquering the western world. They will stop at nothing, and this book explains why they will stop at nothing. There is no getting around the fact that this is the news story of the 21st century, and Michael has made it all very clear and understandable. I highly recommend this book to anyone, especially those who want to understand what is really happening in the world today. It is an excellent but clear overview of the entire subject of bible prophecy, the rise of the antichrist and how this all fits with radical Islam.

A Youssef Favorite

Michael Youssef is one of my favorite media ministers. I was excited to be given the opportunity to read Rev. Youssef's view of end times, and its ties with the 12th Madhi of Islam.

Being born and raised in the Middle East (Egypt), I believe Youssef's views of the happenings surrounding the last days come more from an experiential understanding rather than an academic understanding of Islamic Eschatology. That's not to say that Youssef's views are not academic, as they very much are. I simply believe that Michael Youssef's views of both Christian and Islamic Eschatology have an extra depth that comes from a thorough understanding of End Times.

Without providing spoilers, I can summarize that this book addresses the similarities between the Islamic Mahdi and the Antichrist of Revelation. He furthermore discusses the present state of the world, and how we are in a collision course with the global movement to a one-world government. These things used to be considered to be happenings far into the future. Today, they're definite possibilities and are happening right under our collective noses. And, of course, the rise of ISIS plays a major role in the End Time drama.

The author spends a great deal of the book solely concentrating on the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, and the roles that are played by the Antichrist, the 24 elders, the 7 letters, and so forth. It was presented in a very accessible fashion. I think this book, as opposed to other End Times books I've read, is the most understandable version yet to be published. In that regard, the ease of understanding greatly contributes to the success of the book.

So much will take place in the very near future as The Antichrist, the Abomination that leads to Desolation, the Antichrist's 7 year peace treaty with Israel, the Great Tribulation, and many more events will lead us in to the glorious reign of Jesus Christ, and the ultimate fate of the Antichrist and his False Prophet.

I review lots of books, and generally relegate them to the shelves after the review. This particular book will be placed in with my collection of Bibles, and can/will serve as a valuable reference as I'm able to read it again and again. For this utility alone, I give this book a hearty 4-Star rating, and recommend it for both your enjoyment and the vast spiritual knowledge you will receive.

It's one that every Christian in these latter days should obtain and start reading now.

Only a very small part of this book was about the relationship between Islam and Christianity. I feel that the title/description of the book is misleading. The author had some faulty reasoning also, which makes sense since the author stated he failed high school algebra.

Sexist; Misogynistic

Short, fast moving but in the end underdeveloped and extremely sexist. Nick is from a traditional Greek family that believes women should been seen and not have an opinion or voice; that is of course it's agreeing with everything the men believe and if they don't agree they're punished. Crystal is a powerful attorney who has lived with sexism from her family her whole life. What is underdeveloped is the reason why Crystal would even be with a misogynist like Nick. He actually spanks her because she didn't gorge herself on the food his mother cooked. Even though she told them she was full. Nicks father actually wanted her to be spanked in front of everyone. Nicks family is majorly dysfunctional to say the least. The question of why Crystal would want to be part of that dysfunction is never answered and of course she agrees to marry him despite his many flaws. I know love is blind but this is just too ridiculous!

Traditional values shock a modern woman

A story of traditional values meets a very modern woman. When her high profile job, and her own choices put the heroine in danger, her loving boyfriend shocks her with his method of handling the situation. Can she learn to accept the consequences he provides or will she end their relationship? As a major crime group our heroine has prosecuted escalates their activities, will she share the information with her love or try to handle things with a little help from her friends? Is she trying to avoid her love's consequences or her disturbing reactions to it? This is a fast moving story with very memorable characters. My only issue with the story was that the hero didn't clearly discuss his strong belief in domestic discipline with his love before spanking her the first time.

Mystery, love, sex, and spanking...What a great read!

Enduring Love: Rules of Love Book 3 by Sage Delouise is an exciting story that caught my attention right from the beginning. There was mystery of who is following Crystal combined with the love of an alpha male who is trying to protect the woman he loves. As a strong woman of today, Crystal has a desire for this old fashioned love but a hard time reconciling Nick's methods of protection. Trying to prove she is independent and can take care of herself, she only finds trouble and danger. Ultimately can Crystal accept Nick's love and protection his way or handle the hurt of losing the man she loves? What a great read! I completely recommend this book and look forward to more books in the series. Way to go Sage Delouise!

Simply the best microbiology review book

This book is great. It covers everything you need to know for step 1, while leaving out all you dont' need to know. The questions are probably the best micro vignette questions out there, and helps reinforce what you learned from the book.

This book is much better than micro made ridiculously simple in terms of boards review. Its written in outline format so you can get through it much faster, and it includes an immunology section that has all you need to know for the immunology questions on the step.

The only thing I don't like is the Rapid Review format. At times the outline format should be written in complete sentences (like the high-yield series) to avoid confusing statments/facts. For me, this seemed especially true in the immunology section, which can be confusing if you have a weak immuno background.

Other than that, this is a great review book. The only review book for micro in my opinion.

Good content, but not nearly comprehensive

I am a big fan of the Rapid Review series. The Pathology version by Goljan, as far as I'm concerned, is just as essential as First Aid when it comes to reviewing for class and Step 1. However, Microbiology and Immunology are what I would consider two of the most important topics covered on Step 1 along with pathology, pharmacology, and neuroscience. This book has some good review material in it, but is far from comprehensive. Many topics are discussed extremely briefly or omitted entirely. I could only recommend this book for someone who has Microbiology and Immunology down very well and just needs a super quick refresher. To be honest, First Aid does a better job of covering this material.

*** This review is regarding the content of the book only. I do own this book, but I have not accessed the Student Consult online material. Although I have accessed it for the pathology book in this series. From that material I have deduced that it can't make that big of a difference; but I could very easily be wrong.

Review of Microbiology and Immunology

Perfect for medical microbio class. I used Micro Made easy for class, and after reading this book to review for the boards I would definately recommend it over Micro made easy. The organization is better, it's a shorter text, has an outline format, has excellent tables that while are not as detailed as the micro made easy book are a lot easier to read, and it has everything you need to know for class, which micro made easy does not.

Immuno section is a bit brief but it has all the essentials. I would also recommend reading Immunobiology by Janeway and Medical Microbiology by Murray. Both texts are outstanding and really help you appreciate the subjects.

classic songs

"mr. magoo's christmas carol" is my favorite christmas special, and i've always enjoyed the songs. so it was fun to get this book. it's got 7 songs from the special. the product description on this page says it's for "piano/vocal/guitar", but the book itself says only "piano/vocal". there are chords listed for guitar players, but no chord diagrams or any other guitar-related info. so that's the one thing that keeps me from giving it 5 stars. i'd give it 4-1/2 if that were an option :-)

finally, a music book for Mr Magoo... Alfred publishing, "you've done it again". Fantastic easy to play arrangements, except for the one of "great to be back on broadway' which is completely wacko

Great kids' Christmas classic

I used to watch this when I was a kid, and my own children have grown up with it. We had the video tape and were very happy to see that it was now available on DVD. A great show!
